MINT RRM - UMTS system testing |
Centro de Tecnología de las Comunicaciones, S.A. (CETECOM), in Spain, has unveiled its new Radio Resources Management (RRM) test platform to complete its RF measurements portfolio. The first batch of test cases has just been GCF validated.
CETECOM Spain, leading Mobile Communications test systems suppliers, has extended its range of products for the conformance/performance testing area with this new Multimode (2G/3G) Platform, which is able to carry out testing according to 3GPP TS 34.121 chapter 8 test requirements.
The system implements 6 UMTS cells, one GSM cell, fading capabilities and interference generator (AWGN), providing a very efficient hardware solution. Test cases duration has been optimised in order to reduce the total test time and thus improve the system usability.
The platform is very configurable and modular, allowing several configurations to meet the right testing needs (2, 3 or 6 UMTS cells). The system can be also operated stand-alone or combined with the MINT RF 3G platform, already available in the market.
Tests can be run with the equipment under test (EUT) operated manually or in automatic mode, by means of using either an AT commands driver or an EUT controller supplied by the EUT manufacturer. Complete test sequences can be run without the presence of the operator. Additional features are the test log analysis of the inter layer messages and the automatic test report capability (ISO 9646 guidelines compliant).
This is the only system available in the market supporting RRM, 2G and 3G RF testing capabilities in one-single two racks platform.
“MINT RRM is probably the most efficient solution currently available in the market, because of the modularity and flexibility of the platform, which allow any user to test what they actually need and easily upgrade to new features, such as multi-cell environment, different frequency bands, etc.”, said Juan Carlos Mora, Product Manager at CETECOM Spain. |
