According to Analysys International's research, affected by the operators' campaigns to eliminate sleeping users and enhance market regulation, China's WAP service in Q3 2005 had declined 18.3% compared with last quarter with revenue at RUS$154 million, which is almost the same as the size in Q1 2005.

In a separate note, the total number of China's mobile telecommunication service subscribers increased to 378 Million with a growth rate of 2.69% over last quarter.

From the market segments' side, SMS was still the main contributor to the revenue of operators and SPs. Meanwhile, voice VAS continued flourishing to attract attentions from every side. Among which, CRBT and IVR had become the third and the fourth biggest revenue points with respective growth rate of 75% and 59% in market size, and the active users respectively reached 62.83 million and 21.06 million. And JAVA services and BREW services also grew fast by 34.7% and 47.2% in market size compared with last quarter.
