The project included the integration of Asuriti with two existing Viziqor-provided billing systems, allowing NuVox to unify its operational processes while taking advantage of Viziqor’s advanced capabilities.

NuVox has moved very quickly to capitalize on the growth potential of its expanded footprint following its merger with NewSouth Communications. The combined company serves approximately 40,000 business customers in sixteen states, with more than 650,000 lines in service, and annual revenues exceeding $310 million. While both companies utilized Viziqor billing systems, they had deployed different commercial mediation solutions. NuVox has replaced and consolidated its existing mediation platforms with Asuriti, taking advantage of the system’s open technologies and ease of integration with other back office systems.

In addition to collecting data from Lucent and Siemens switches, NuVox will use Asuriti to mediate its Nortel and Sonus switches, as well as more than two dozen custom, CABS, and EMI feeds from most of the major carriers. A key advantage of Asuriti is that it will allow NuVox to streamline event processing into a central application hub that will map and distribute enriched data to a variety of downstream systems, including its RevChain® and BillPlex® billing systems. In addition, Asuriti’s highly-configurable rules-based architecture provides the added flexibility NuVox required to allow its system users to quickly and easily modify feeds without the time and expense of dedicated development resources or vendor assistance.
